Quick Food for Friday

In the LunchBots Duo above, my daughter had a triceratops-shaped peanut butter sandwich cut with a sandwich cutter from the Dollar Spot at Target. The sandwich was on top of a peanut butter cookie. The bottom section held a few cherry tomatoes, a slice of cucumber, some blueberries, and a mini Krackel bar.

My husband had cucumber and tomatoes in the first section and kiwi, raspberries, and blueberries in the second section. The large section held a turkey sandwich, pretzel crackers, and a couple of mini chocolate bars.

I had the same veggies and fruits as my husband along with pretzel crackers, almonds, a string cheese, and two pieces of dark chocolate. I also had a little chicken leftover from dinner the night before.

Food for Another Day at Work With Mommy

This was my daughter's breakfast. In the Sistema box, she had frosted mini wheats, almonds, an applesauce pouch, and blueberries and grapes on a pick. I like those picks (purchased at the Dollar Tree) because they are the perfect length for this box.

For lunch, my daughter had a butterfly shaped peanut butter sandwich along with blueberries and grapes in the bottom tier. The top section had goldfish crackers and tomato and cucumber slices on picks. This was packed in an inexpensive bento box purchased through Amazon.

My lunch was in a MyBentoMeal box. I had turkey and muenster on a bagel with tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, and grapes. My daughter swiped most of the carrots; I should have given her more veggies in place of the goldfish because they went uneaten.

This was a lunch for me in our Planetbox. Similar to earlier this week, I had turkey and muenster on french bread with carrots, tomatoes, and cucumber slices. I also had blueberries, grapes, and a strawberry in the fruit section and a few pretzel crackers and a little ranch dip in the top section.

This was a lunch I took to work in our Planetbox. I had a turkey sandwich on french bread along with strawberries, carrots, yellow pepper strips, cherry tomatoes, green grapes, and blueberries. We love the Planetbox because it is easy to pack, easy to open and close, and washes very well in the dishwasher.

The lunch was for me and was packed in a box from the Dollar Spot at Target. I had a turkey sandwich packed in the top section with watermelon, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, and purple grapes in the bottom section.

This was a small breakfast for my daughter. She had an applesauce pouch, red and green grapes on a pick, a slice of cheese, and a few almonds along with a yogurt drink.

This was my daughter's lunch. The bottom tier held grapes, tomatoes, cucumber sticks, and carrots. The top section held two sliced strawberries, a few pretzel crackers, and a chocolate truffle.

Food for a Day at Work with Daddy

The box above was a small breakfast that my daughter took when she went to school with her dad to help him prepare his classroom for the coming year. She isn't a big eater in the mornings so she had a few blueberries, a sliced strawberry, a few frosted mini wheats (which she calls "hay"), and some almonds. She also had a small strawberry yogurt drink.

In this LunchBots Duo, I packed my daughter's lunch. She had blueberries and green grapes, carrots, yellow pepper slices, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, a few spinach leaves (which she calls "tree stars" like Littlefoot from The Land Before Time - a long time love of hers), and a small peanut butter sandwich with a cheese bear on top.

Lot and Lots of Watermelon

Friday was National Watermelon Day so we bought a watermelon and have been eating it at nearly every meal. Saturday morning, my daughter had some watermelon and grape flowers with blueberries, grapes, and a couple of french toast sticks.

We went to IKEA this weekend so I packed some food for the road. My daughter ate this while in the car. In the Sassy box, she had watermelon with a frog pick, carrots, tomatoes, goldfish, and a peanut butter sandwich decorated with food safe markers and chocolate chips to look like watermelon. I only colored one half of the sandwich because I wasn't sure if she would eat it if it wasn't plain, but she liked the colors and colored her own sandwich for lunch today.

Above, is my son's snack. He had quartered grapes, blueberries, watermelon, apple cinnamon stars, goldfish, quartered tomatoes, cucumber, and carrots. I thought this was going to be a lot of food for him, but it was almost all gone before I even made it through the line at the IKEA restaurant to get food for the rest of us.

My kids shared the snack above while we were waiting to checkout at IKEA. They had a slice of cheese, graham crackers, chocolate truffles, and blueberries, watermelon, and grapes on picks.

For breakfast today, my daughter had watermelon trees, blueberries, scrambled eggs, and strips of ham.
