Friday was National Watermelon Day so we bought a watermelon and have been eating it at nearly every meal. Saturday morning, my daughter had some watermelon and grape flowers with blueberries, grapes, and a couple of french toast sticks.
We went to IKEA this weekend so I packed some food for the road. My daughter ate this while in the car. In the Sassy box, she had watermelon with a frog pick, carrots, tomatoes, goldfish, and a peanut butter sandwich decorated with food safe markers and chocolate chips to look like watermelon. I only colored one half of the sandwich because I wasn't sure if she would eat it if it wasn't plain, but she liked the colors and colored her own sandwich for lunch today.
Above, is my son's snack. He had quartered grapes, blueberries, watermelon, apple cinnamon stars, goldfish, quartered tomatoes, cucumber, and carrots. I thought this was going to be a lot of food for him, but it was almost all gone before I even made it through the line at the IKEA restaurant to get food for the rest of us.
My kids shared the snack above while we were waiting to checkout at IKEA. They had a slice of cheese, graham crackers, chocolate truffles, and blueberries, watermelon, and grapes on picks.
For breakfast today, my daughter had watermelon trees, blueberries, scrambled eggs, and strips of ham.
Very nice! I like the watermelon sandwich and flowers.
